Responsibilities
-
Use approved chemicals to consistently disinfect various surfaces to ensure proper sanitization methods occur.
-
Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food processing equipment during downtime.
-
Properly dispose of waste.
-
Report any food contamination issues to Maintenance and Sanitation Manager.
-
Sweep, mop, clear garbage and participate in all facility cleanliness needs
-
Lead the prevention of cross contamination of products and communicate issues with Quality Assurance team when required
-
Maintain all sanitation tools and equipment in good working condition
-
Follow all SDS sheets, WHMIS, GMP, HACCP and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)
-
Fill in daily cleaning and sanitation logs
-
Restock and maintain inventory of sanitation equipment and cleaning agents
-
Ensure food safety remains high priority and is an ambassador for a food-safe culture

Other duties as required

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude on wide variety of equipment
-
Must be able to bend, twist, push and pull consistently.

Must be able to lift minimum 20 lbs consistently
-
Ability to work in a team environment

Positive attitude and adaptability to change

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to carry out tasks on a timely basis

Responsibilities
-
Ensure food safety remains high priority and is an ambassador for a food-safe culture
-
Daily conduct incoming, in-production, and outgoing inspections at set intervals
-
Randomly check raw materials, processes, finished products to ensure compliance at all levels
-
Identify nonconforming issues and address them with those responsible teams
-
Ensure all food safety protocols are being followed by all employees, visitors and contractors.
-
Inspect incoming raw and packaging materials for pests or deficiencies
-
Monitor coolers and freezers temperature and advise those responsible if any issue
-
Ensure ingredients are rotated according to the First In First Out process (FIFO)
-
Verification of various practices and processes to ensure their compliances including ATP, temperatures, weights, label, record checks and metal checks
-
Work with all departments to ensure food safety, GMP compliance and occupational health and safety are followed by all teams
-
Assist supervisors in ensuring their practices meet food safety standard, customer and legal requirements
-
Carry out the monitoring and completion of all assigned duties pertaining to HACCP, SQF and other prerequisite programs
-
Assist with projects for program improvement.

Qualifications
-
In pursuit of a Degree or Diploma – Food Science, Supply Chain Management, Science and Nutrition or other applicable designation

Exceptional computer skills
-
Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and strong analytical skill

Team player, hardworking and attention to detail required

Food Safety Certifications strong asset
-
Positive attitude and willing to learn and grow

Must meet legal working age requirements (ILO standards)

General Accountant
With guidance from our Senior Financial Analyst, the General Accountant is responsible for month-end close, journal entries, account & bank reconciliations, and financial analysis. Works collaboratively with the various departments of our manufacturing team to execute and deliver timely accounting and financial statements.

Analyze and maintain the general ledger.

Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments, including supporting documentation and appropriate descriptions.

Preparation of month end reconciliations and continuity schedules for financial statement preparation.

Manage fixed assets continuity and monitor capital project spending.

Assist with the preparation of periodic closing and financial statements.

Perform variance analysis on the income statement after close.

Collaborate with the team to research and solve accounting issues and tasks.

Identify, research, investigate, and problem-solve GL account and internal control issues.

Daily cash applications and monthly bank reconciliations

Monitor cash flows and projections.

Assist in annual budget preparation.

Assist with year-end, government and other audit requirements, SR&ED claims, Statistics Canada reports.

Team backup for AR/AP-related tasks and customer follow up.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
-
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
-
Must have minimum 3 years experience in ERP systems.
-
Experience in SAP/HANA a strong asset.
-
Background in manufacturing industry is an asset.
-
Attention to detail with demonstrated ability to working through problems efficiently.
-
Strong communication skills and ability to convey information clearly and objectively.
-
Highly organized, able to manage time effectively and comfortable working within tight deadlines.
-
Flexibility and ability to deal with demands at hand are essential for the success of this role.
-
Intermediate Excel proficiency (lookups, pivots, tables, charts). Knowledge of Power BI is a great add-on.
-
